Kitchen redesign

I had the enriching opportunity to undertake a comprehensive renovation of a 10.46 m² family kitchen. The central focus of this project was the integration of a pre-existing element: a modern, two-tone (grey and white) refrigerator with glass doors, which became the stylistic starting point.
The primary challenge lay in selecting materials and finishes that not only harmonized with the appliance’s contemporary aesthetic but also respected the space’s original structure, as requested by the client, and adhered to the budget. We opted for high-gloss panels, such as acrylic or high-gloss HPL laminate, for both the upper and lower cabinetry. This material not only mimicked the reflectivity of the refrigerator’s glass but also provided a durable, easy-to-maintain surface.

The color palette was kept consistent with the existing marble tones, ensuring a fluid visual transition. To enhance the sense of spaciousness and lightness, the upper cabinetry was extended to the ceiling, creating clean lines and maximizing vertical storage. The hardware was updated to a more modern, delicate metallic design, which added a touch of sophistication. Every one of these decisions, from material selection to the hardware details, was carefully discussed and adjusted to the available budget, resulting in a revitalized space that balances avant-garde aesthetics with optimized functionality.
